Chairperson: Nominated and elected from general membership, serve 2 years as Chairperson and serve 2 years as member of Steering Committee
7 Steering Committee Members: Seven nominated and elected members fromthe general membership; serve 2 years. Designated Steering Committee seats include one each for USEPA, Canada, Current Chairperson, and Past Chairperson. The USEPA seat is intended for USEPA staff working with beach monitoring programs. This leaves 3 open seats for undesignated representation.
12 Advisory Members: Designated by State, Federal and Provincial Stakeholders, these voluntary members represent their own beach monitoring activities. Representatives include Beach Coordinators from Ontario, United States Environmental Protection Agency Region 2, 3, 5, and the Great Lakes National Program Office, United States Geological Survey, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York,Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
